Discover Zazyoga – A Life Changing Online Yoga Teacher Training

YouTube video

I've had the pleasure of trialing the Zazyoga online yoga teacher training certification course and getting to know the creators of Zazyoga, Marylene Henry and Ella Trotter and I'm excited to give you a sneak peek at what you can look forward to as a student of this awesome yoga teacher training. These two ladies are not only absolutely magnetic and lovely, but they also exemplify what it’s like to share love, light, and wisdom as a yoga teacher. They have created an online YTT experience that's not to be overlooked, and in this Zazyoga review, I’ll give you my take on this very special and experiential yoga teacher training online.

What sets Zazyoga apart from other online yoga teacher trainings?

How is it hands-on, you ask? Well, trainees of Zazyoga upload photos of each of the learned postures after the “asana labs,” and they also share videos of their practice with Marylene and Ella as well for personal feedback and suggestions.

When I was going through the training I couldn’t help but to notice the detail that Marylene and Ella go into in their feedback. It was very evident how engaged they are with their students. The amount of time, attention, and observation that they give to each of their students is one of the ways that Zazyoga is so different from other trainings.

Who are the yoga instructors behind Zazyoga

Zazyoga is not one of those yoga schools that has no face to the name. You will get to know the two amazing women, Marylene Henry and Ella Trotter who are the course creators as you learn all of their secrets about how to develop into the best version of yourself and become an amazing yoga teacher.

Marylene Henry

E-RYT-200, RYT-500, YACEP – Yoga teacher, Zazyoga

Marylene Henry aka “Zaz” is a mindfulness coach, reiki healer and of course a certified yoga instructor. She also holds a PhD in Osteopathy. Marylene is a vibrant leader who left behind a successful career in the business world to follow her passion of teaching yoga. Yoga had been an integral part of her life for decades and finally the calling to go deeper into the practice could no longer be ignored. By creating a curriculum that includes her knowledge about the various healing techniques she specializes in as well as integrating elements on deep training of the body, she is passionate about certifying competent yoga teachers from Zazyoga.

Ella Trotter

RYT-200 – Yoga teacher, Zazyoga

Ella Trotter has lived in ashrams and volunteered in yoga retreat centers around the world and she is also a certified yoga instructor and reiki healer. By traveling the globe she’s given herself the opportunity to teach to a multitude of age groups and levels, and she draws from her own personal rich experiences in her teachings. Over her years of teaching, she came to understand the need for functional yoga as a way to help heal bodies of all ages. Ella will be teaching you the art of teaching and how to be a confident teacher among other things. With a passion for creating inspiring flows that are both functional and thoughtfully sequenced, you will get the opportunity to learn how to sequence your classes in very special ways in the Zazyoga training.

You will learn to embody the yogic lifestyle from two women who actually live it themselves.

An enriching life-changing experience with Zazyoga's yoga teacher training online

One of the most important aspects when choosing your yoga teacher training is choosing to study under instructors who have themselves created successful online communities and businesses so that you can learn all of their trade secrets. And Marylene and Ella have done just that.

Zazyoga will also encourage playfulness, personal growth, and self-confidence as part of your learning journey, and one thing I love about this training is all of the little details like creating vision boards and how much I felt emboldened to reignite my curiosity about my own body. Trust me, there are no boring lectures in this yoga teacher training!

The enthusiasm that these two ladies have for teaching radiates throughout the course and their energy is infectious and impossible not to absorb.

What a day in the life of a Zazyoga student looks like

If you follow the 30 day course outline you will have 30 very meaningful and fulfilling days. Mornings will be for meditations and morning yoga asana practices, and afternoons will be full of studying everything from Ayurveda to anatomy and the chakras to different techniques to use to control your vital energy. And of course, there is also plenty of yoga philosophy included in the course as well.

The materials that Marylene and Ella have created for this training are nothing short of beautiful in content. Full of fascinating topics that will pique your curiosity and make you want to go deeper down your learning path.

Dare I say that Zazyoga has truly created some of the most interesting and in-depth yoga teacher training manuals I’ve ever seen?! Well they have.

How to take the Zazyoga online yoga teacher training

This YTT200 is laid out in a very nicely structured 30 day format, so if you have the time in your days to dedicate several hours to your online YTT you can finish this program in 30 days. However, you do not need to complete the training within 30 days. You can also choose to embark on this training and take it completely self-paced over the course of 1 year. Either way, you will still get all of the benefits like access to the Facebook community group, weekly calls, and of course a ton of personalized feedback on your photo and video submissions.

There are little quizzes throughout the course to test your knowledge, and you will be required to complete all modules and attend group calls (live or replay) to successfully complete the program.

Is Zazyoga Yoga Alliance approved?

Zazyoga is an approved online yoga school with Yoga Alliance. Because they are an RYS or registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance this means that after you complete the training you will receive your Zazyoga yoga teaching certificate and you will have the option to register with Yoga Alliance should you choose.

The cost of Zazyoga's yoga certification course

Zazyoga costs $1397 and it's worth every penny. But don't worry, if you don't have that kind of extra cash laying around there are 3 payment plans you can opt for as well – 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.

The Yogatique Critique: Zazyoga Review

200-hr Certification

The Zazyoga online YTT is an intense and immersive experience that will offer you a lot of valuable personal feedback from both Marylene and Ella. It is very hands-on and interactive, which is most ideal!

The Zazyoga course is one that will require a lot from you while you are on the path of becoming a certified yoga teacher with Zazyoga. In other words, this is by no means a passive program that students coast through and are handed a yoga teaching certificate at the end. This online YTT is for those who are ready to take the plunge into self-discovery both inside out, and for those who want to graduate from the program rich with new knowledge and skills.
